The Catholic Superannuation and Retirement Fund (CSRF) is the largest Catholic industry super fund in Australia open to anyone eligible for superannuation.
CSRF was formed in 1981 to provide retirement saving benefits for employees of Catholic Schools, Clergy and Catholic Church agencies, has grown to become Australia’s largest Catholic superannuation fund. The Principal Employers are The Trustees of the Roman Catholic Church for the Archdiocese of Sydney and Brisbane with the remaining Dioceses known as Participating Employers. CSRF received a public offer licence in 2006 and can now offer industry fund membership to the public at large. CSRF exists solely for the benefit of its members, uses only salaried staff and pays no commissions to any third parties.
The Fund, similar to a ‘fund of funds’, offers 10 investment choices utilising over 40 investment managers and has had sound investment performance over it’s extended lifetime. CSRF is self-administered, so member queries can be directed at the source for speedy action. All Fund staff are also members of the Fund. In addition to offering members a super savings vehicle, CSRF has an allocated pension fund, low-cost group and personal insurance cover, member education sessions, workplace visits and seminars, financial planning advice on a fee for service basis and access to low cost banking products.
Our mission
- To return to the membership the maximum possible retirement benefits, whilst safeguarding the long term security of members’ assets and keeping in mind the risks involved with investments.
- To be fair and ethical in all business practices.
- To be a leading Australian superannuation and retirement fund by achieving benchmark levels of excellence in the areas of administration, investment performance and insurance benefits available to members.
- To be identified by the membership, as well as within the industry, as an organisation which treats members, staff and service providers with respect and in a manner which accords with the Gospel values espoused by the Catholic Church.
