Your insurance options

  • Permanent members with a sponsoring employer automatically receive 3 units of death and TPD cover on joining CSRF within 3 months of joining their employer—called the eligibility period. CSRF also automatically provide TSC (if working 15 hours or more per week) on the entire 75% of salary (up to $160,000 pa) on joining a sponsoring employer and choosing CSRF within the eligibility period.
  • Casual members with a sponsoring employer will automatically receive 1 unit of death and TPD cover on joining CSRF during the eligibility period. When a member changes from Permanent to Casual, they can now keep the same number of death and TPD units they held as a Permanent member.
  • If a person finishes work with a sponsoring employer they will be classed as Retained, but will still have 1 unit of death and TPD insurance, but can then apply for TSC cover if they wish.
  • Members who leave a sponsoring employer to work for an external employer can have 2 units of death and TPD insurance whilst working and can apply for TSC cover.
  • Personal Plan members must apply for insurance which will be for a fixed dollar amount (not units). They can apply for death cover up to $5 million, TPD cover up to $2 million and TSC up to $25,000 per month.
